I have used Logitech products for years. As a creator, I use the Logitech Crayon for iPad for sketchnoting and journaling, the Yeti Microphone for videoconferencing and for recording my podcasts, and the Logitech 4K Pro Webcam with its beautiful 4K image and built-in mic. But Logitech does not just make items for creators.
The Logitech for Education team is always looking out for the needs of teachers and students. One of their cool new products is the Logitech Zone Learn Wired Headsets for Learners.
In my opinion, every student should have a headset. How many student-created videos have we listened to with loud classroom noise in the background? Why should we continue to send students to the hallway to record or stick their heads in a "soundproofed" cardboard box?
In addition, with the scaffolding and differentiated learning going on in every classroom, students often are using a computer for learning or assessment. With each student on a different site, it would be great if they could concentrate on the task at hand and not be distracted by outside noise.
The Logitech Zone Learn Wired Headsets solve all of those concerns! With their comfortable and totally adjustable fit for students from preschool to high school, audio drivers that are tuned for voice clarity instead of music, and a sturdy boom microphone, this headset checks all the boxes! The headsets are wipe-tested and exceed the military standards of drop protection of 4 feet.
Everything you would need comes with the headsets. There are swappable and upgradable earpads and three different connection cables.
The headset has a common headphone jack (3.5mm), and each of the three cables -- common headphone plug, USB-C plug, and USB-A plug -- are included.
Each cable simply plugs into the headset and, with a quick twist, ensures the cable will not pull out. There is a little "lock" on the headset end as you can see below.
The coolest feature of the Logitech Zone Learn Wired Headsets for Learners is the ability to go from the over-the-ear earpads to an on-ear ear pad with just another twist of the wrist!
This feature, along with the micro-adjustable slider arms for the head, allow this headset to be used by the youngest students. The on-ear ear pad is perfect for their needs!
I recorded a short video so you can hear the sound quality of the headset. (You may notice a bit of an echo, since I live in a geodesic dome where sound carries easily!)
